RTG was established in 1996 and has grown to a current staff of 45 employees. Our engineers and technicians average over 20 years of experience in the planning, design and inspection of transportation facilities and have developed a reputation for delivering quality service with a cooperative team spirit. Combined staff experience in the planning and design of transportation facilities exceeds 400 years, with more than 200 years of experience as Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and/or Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) employees and 200 years as consultants. In addition, RTG provides construction management and inspection services on roadway, highway and bridge projects, and is currently providing inspection services on the SH 45 and Loop 1 toll facilities for the Texas Turnpike Authority (TTA). This diversified public and private consultant background insures a comprehensive understanding of project development and management on all transportation projects. RTG provides the expertise for a wide range of transportation services from preliminary engineering to final design. These services include feasibility studies, major investment studies, route location studies, public involvement, preliminary and final design schematics, right-of-way determination and preparation of construction plans (PS&E). RTG employees have extensive experience in the planning and design of urban and rural roadway facilities from county roads to controlled-access freeways. RTG has provided transportation services throughout the state for both public and private clients, including the TxDOT Districts in Austin, Abilene, Amarillo, Beaumont, Brownwood, Bryan, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Laredo, Lufkin, Pharr, San Angelo, San Antonio, Tyler and Waco. RTG has also provided design services for the Bridge and TTA Divisions of TxDOT and for the LoneStar Infrastructure design/build consortium on SH 130. RTG utilizes state of the art computer applications fully compatible with TxDOT for design and plan preparation. RTG design technology also incorporates digital orthographic photography and digital terrain modeling applications for presentations and the preparation of route studies through construction plans.
